Gem of all Gems

Hey love bugs!

As you’ve begun to follow my blog or my Instagram, you’ve probably grown to know my love affair with fashion, clothing and personal style. Although I’m still very much fashion and clothing obsessed, I’ve sort of strayed away from that scene and begun to focus more on basics or unique vintage finds that I know won’t go out of style. Don’t get me wrong, my obsession and passion for all things style, fashion and self-expression through clothing will never fade. Sticking with essential, quality, basic staples have been what I go for on a day-to-day basis. To be completely honest with you, I haven’t really been feeling any of the fall or winter trends. I’ve been disappointed with what’s “trendy” as of late and just been sticking to basics, in a not so “basic” way. Hehehe.

This shift may also be attributed to the fact that my personal sense of style is much more of what I like to call “mature chic.” For the first time, I feel like my personal style is me – mature, chic, fashionable yet a little funky and quirky. I know definitively what I like and what I don’t like. Since my fashion game has taken a bit of a halt, I’ve been much more into jewelry and finding uniquely handcrafted pieces. For the first time in a long time, I’ve been able to amp up my jewelry game. When looking for jewelry pieces online or even in-store, I tend to focus my attention towards unique and handcrafted pieces – hence why I love vintage jewelry finds.

Let me take you on a two second tangent so I can better explain how I discovered this awesome jewelry line because I really can’t keep it hidden any longer.  Here’s the story. . . about two years ago, I stumbled upon a super funny, quirky, fashionable and absolutely adorable YouTuber named Alex. Alex is the girl behind the beautiful and handcrafted jewelry line known as HRH Collection. Alex not only has a successful jewelry line that she created all by herself from the ground up, but her YouTube channel is beyond words! She daily vlogs, has”not so typical” favorites and “what’s in my bag” (which she hates calling) videos that somtimes have me in tears laughing. I’ve completly fallen in love with her totally real and genuine attitude towards everything! She has compeletly changed your typical “beauty vlogger” game and attributes her own spin on absoluetly everything. Let’s just say I have a bit of a girl crush on her.

From her super comfy chic wardrobe to her yelling at bad drivers in LA traffic, I can always count on Alex to make my smile and even crack up laughing. Okay, so I’m a little obsessed with this girl! Aside from loving Alex, I’ve become absolutely obsessed with her jewelry line, HRH CollectionAlex personally designs, creates and handcrafts every unique piece from her line. She also has a ton of vintage stones that are to die for!

Knowing how in love I am with Alex and her jewelry line, my mom actually surprised me with a piece from HRH Collection this Christmas! I was literally in tears recieving this gift becasue not only was it totally unexpected but I feel genuinely connected with Alex. This wasn’t just any piece from her line.  I was pleasantly surprised with the incredibly beautiful and unique Vintage Dauphine Choker in the Crystal Minx rare and vintage stone. This stone in particular is from the “rare and vintage stones” collection. Alex describes this choker on her site as a “super vibrant unicorn crystal of rainbow colors with a milk effect” and that’s exactly what it is. I am absoluetly obsessed with this crystal and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve literally been wearing this choker everyday since Christmas. I’M IN LOVE!!! Realizing how in love I am with this piece I know I have to and definitely will order more from HRH Collection

I tried capturing all of the angles and colors so you can truly see the beauty of this stone. The photos don’t do it justice!
