Ready for the Races

If you know me well, you know I have a passion for all things style and fashion. This deep rooted love came at a young age and still continues to be a strong influencer within my daily life. I absolutely love all things fashion and the ability to create your own spin on clothes and personal style. I’ve always treasured my own style and I live everyday as an opportunity to showcase who I am and what I’m feeling through clothing.

This past weekend I visited the traditional and famously known Santa Anita Race Park. This is truly a remarkable place! With so much history and a treasured landmark for not only the community but around the world – I knew I had to choose the perfect outfit for the occasion. I opted for vintage, appropriately of course! Although I didn’t go for the traditional hat wearing, dress and gloves – I created a more modern touch.

You really can’t go wrong with vintage. Although it was a warm day, this outfit was suited perfectly for the sunny Southern California heat. Being able to creatively express my clothing in ways that differ from the average is my ultimate goal. From color to texture to print, I am drawn to everything out of the ordinary. This mustard sweater was thrifted from a little vintage shop in Downtown Palm Springs. Upon purchasing this little gem, I knew I wanted to make it into a dress and pair it with a killer belt. Paired with this vintage belt and some biker shorts, you’ve got yourself a standout outfit perfect for the races.

Check out all the outfit deets below . . .
