A few weeks ago, I had the amazing opportunity to go on a trip with my family and boyfriend to beautiful and sunny Palm Springs. This trip was a celebration of not only my birthday but for graduating with my masters degree from USC. When asked where I wanted to go, I knew immediately where. For starters, I’m a little obsessed with everything mid-century modern and I knew I wanted to be in a sunny and beautiful place while staying somewhat close to LA. Palm Springs has honestly always been a city I’ve loved. Everything from the chilled and relaxed vibe to the array of cacti to the mid-century modern architecture – I was in complete HEAVEN! Who says you have to be 65 and retired to enjoy this beautiful atmosphere!?
We stayed at an incredible hotel called the “Del Marcos Desert Oasis.” Built in 1947, this hotel is the epitome of mid-century modern. Each room has a different theme and characteristics that make it unique. The room we stayed in was the “Oceans 11” suite. It was the perfect little suite with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom and accompanied with vintage furnishings and perfect details to add to that mid-century modern architecture feel. I really felt like I was there in the forties enjoying a little vacation!
If you are ever thinking about visiting Palm Springs, definitely check out this incredible desert oasis!
Sending love & happiness to my love bugs.
If you made it this far, THANK YOU.
